The Opera 58.0.3135.21 has been promoted to the beta channel ;-)

"We are happy to announce, that this build, based on chromium 71, comes with a new feature. Opera 58 will warn you before closing a window with multiple tabs. This means, it will prevent you from accidentally losing the data you might have typed in, when filling out forms or writing comments.

The confirmation dialog we added is there to warn you, before you close an Opera browser window with multiple open tabs. If you don’t want this window to appear, simply tick the checkbox titled “Do not show this warning again”.

This dialog will not be shown when closing private windows.

To turn the warning back on, go to Settings > Advanced > User interface."
 
The Chromium has been updated to version 71.0.3578.75.

This build includes the following changes, and fixes:
- DNA-74011 “No matching experiments” not visible on opera:flags in dark theme.
- DNA-74299 [Mac] VPN doesn't auto-reconnects, after Wi-Fi interruption.
- DNA-74400 Show actual number of open tabs in warning message (including tabs with start page).

"It’s time for beta update, which contains some crash fixes.

Also, from now on, the “Continue where you left off” option in Settings will be named “Retain tabs from previous session”.

Tab preview should work now in this update.
