Google News does not work in Opera Mini for iOS

The Google News website is broken and unusable in Opera Mini 16.0.10 for iOS. The icons do not load and the content below the fold is blank. See the screenshot:
I have a very slow Internet connection, so I use the Mini mode all the time. Google News is the primary source of news for me. Please fix it.

As a workaround, I made a lightweight mobile-friendly version of Google News called Google News Lite, using Google Web Light and Yahoo Query Language. See the screenshot:
You can change the language by appending your language code to the URL, e.g. https://mobiliot.com/news/?hl=pl. Enjoy!
