Question about the GpuMemoryBuffers when enabled

When add 'n this switch to opera shortcut @ the end of target field --enable-native-gpu-memory-buffers
then go 'n to opera's opera://gpu/
the Graphics Feature Status shows - Native GpuMemoryBuffers: Hardware accelerated which it should..
but in the GpuMemoryBuffers Status everything is shown as software only..
i thought it was just me.. but lottsa of friends says it shows same too & they said Chrome also..
So why doesn't GpuMemoryBuffers Status say Hardware accelerated instead of Software only ?..
is it a bug thingy or sumthing ?.. Does it even buffer when enabled ?..
