YouTube theater mode problem

So I switched from Chrome to Opera a few days ago (I still can't believe how much faster it is), and I have found a bug (at least I think it's a bug).
Open a YouTube video, switch to theater mode, close Opera, open a YouTube video, the mode is back to default. My friend has the same problem, so it's not just me. Chrome never had a problem with remembering the video mode.
It's not a huge problem if you only open one video (because Opera remembers the theater mode until restarted), but the way I use YouTube makes this problem super annoying.
I open the subscriptions page, and then middle click every video I want to watch. If I forget to switch to theater mode after clicking the first video, I then have to manually click the theater mode button for every video.
Can you guys please fix this problem?

Standard for YouTube is to open normal video frame and go back to default after restart.
I see identical behavior on Opera, Chrome and Firefox.

You're right, same issue in Firefox and Edge. But Chrome and Vivaldi remember the theater mode after restart. Don't know why. Anyway, I just found an add-on for Opera that forces videos in theater mode: https://addons.opera.com/en/extensions/details/theater-mode-for-youtubetm/
Thanks
