Address bar loses focus on start page

Hello! Switched to opera long ago but one thing bothered me for that long.
Windows 10 Pro 64-bit, 51.0.2830.34

When opening a new tab either with the "+" button or with Ctrl+N, the focus is at the address bar, thats fine.

But when I click anywhere but the address bar or drag the new tab to my second monitor, then the address bar loses focus and have to manually click in it or press alt+D. That makes extra unnecessary steps to make when i could just open new window, drag to other, search whatever I want and continue.

Can't seem to find a way to hold the focus on the address bar when on the startpage (when using the empty one or with the bookmarks)

Any help is appreciated.
