Browser constantly hangs upon loading multiple HTML 5 videos

Pretty much exactly what it says on the tin. Windows 10 64 bit user, 8 GB RAM, AMD Radeon HD 7800 Series video card in case this is relevant, currently on Opera Stable ver. 35.0.2066.37, been using Opera since 2008 or so.
I've been having this problem for a while now, at least since version 33ish, but basically what happens is whenever I end up browsing normally, using Twitter etc, the moment I've played more than a few Vine videos spring up on my timeline (or when just browsing other people's feeds where these autoplay by default), the browser just inexplicably hangs, becoming completely unusable until I force it to quit and bring it back up again. This has been happening more and more often lately, extensions don't appear to have anything to do with it (disabling the very few I run makes it worse in fact, because ads) to the point that it's getting near impossible to use Opera as intended.
I don't use Opera Turbo either, so that can't be the issue. I haven't attempted reinstalling the browser altogether yet, but clearing my cache did nothing. Please help.

Same problem here.
Opera crashes more often than not after viewing a couple of (html5?) videos on facebook. -

Bumping this. As of the most recent update, the problem got even worse somehow.
