MSN homepage fails to load correctly in v 49

This has plagued both the wife and I for about a year. When we attempt to load MSN home page on any home computer running Opera 49, the page loads normally and then reduces to gibberish all aligned on the left side of the screen. It's readable gibberish, but the whole MSN home page is reduced to just small lines and pictures that are not usable.
No viruses or malware, PC's are all up to date.

I like Opera because of the adblocking capabilities. Is the MSN's attempt at forcing me to view sosored ads?
Any solution?
