Asking ONCE following an upgrade would be good, asking the same question for EVERY item of information stored (hundreds) can only be described as breathtaking INCOMPETENCE by Opera!

Frustration won't get you anywhere. But I'm pretty sure you already know that, right? So let's see what are we talking about here. Which version of Opera are you using? For as far as I know, there is an Always Allow option on each pop-up message of this kind. Maybe you could use that?

Yes, that's exactly what I get. But it starts asking the same question for every single piece of such data I have stored, and not just for the particular site I am on. Why is there not ONE GLOBAL button for everything? And why does it start asking about everything in the first place? Frustrating is too small a word.

I'm not sure of the specific situation you're dealing with. I don't know exactly which sites are you trying to access and when do they ask for that confirmation. To be honest I never had such issues before. I mean, it is annoying for that pop-up to appear for everything. I agree with you on that. But the thing is that, in my case, once I choose Always Allow, that's exactly what it is going to do.
Now, I'm pretty sure the functionality of that pop-up window is cookie based. And not the kind of cookies you bake in your oven. But, for example, if a site has cookies that expire after 2 minutes, when you try try to access that site again after those 2 minutes have passed and you try to login (or access a page for which content you need to be logged in to be able to see), you will probably be prompted with the pop-up again. Because the cookie expired and you need a new one. So it asks you to confirm that. I don't work for Opera or something, but that seems like the right thing the browser should do for this case.

Again, I might be talking nonsense here, since I don't have any specifics on which are the sites that require you to approve access to make modifications on your cookies. But, as I said, this definitely doesn't happen to all the sites, in my case. And if you have this kind of behavior for all the sites, I'm afraid it might be something specific for you case, such as a specific site, or a specific cookie or something.

Don't assume that everything that happens within your browser windows is a browser problem. There might be third party variables to take into account. And they usually are. So I would say don't jump into conclusions unless you're 100% sure you're right.

It sound like the codei sgning have been breached. Any modifications to the Opera app package will break the signature and cause potential problems with the OS X firewall, keychain, location, and other services.

Please reinstall from Opera’s website.

Is it okay if I bump this topic? I'm getting the same message constantly in Opera Developer, but I didn't get the same image as attached above. Here is a screenshot of what I keep getting. http://sta.sh/0vfapoxb4ur It comes up randomly.

Have you reinstalled Opera as Aeyoun suggested?

Sorry for the very late feedback. I didn't realize I forgot to have this topic starred.

I reinstalled "Developer," not the regular Opera, and this problem still occurs. The popup doesn't show at all for me if I use the regular Opera.

But reinstalled as a clean install or just installed above?
A clean profile or clean install should be do it.

I moved the Opera Developer icon from the Applications folder to the trash and emptied it, and then I re-downloaded and installed it. Is that what you mean by a clean install?

That, probably just deletes the Opera soft data but the profile is still there. If has problems will be repeated.

Okay, I followed the links to Leocg's topic, and I renamed the folder in the directory indicated by Opera's About page. I can see that it did make a change since the background of the speed dial changed, but I am still having that same problem and a few others.

Once isolated in a clean profile, then Opera employees could help you better.

BTW, check in Apple settings for security options if there is something messed.

Ever since I started using Developer, and that was in December.

Any change on the system before the problem?

No, but I do have to take my computer to Apple because there are issues pile up. I ran into the problem in Developer first though back in December. I've been having Apple issues starting in April.

Any special action when the message pop ups (despite its random)?

Not that I can tell. It happens when I surf the web, it happens when I edit my speed dial, and some times it happens after I close the browser.
