[Solved]VPN, Block ads, and Downloads buttons not working

Hi folks,
Opera works fine on my desktop Windows PC (and on my MacBook Pro), but on my (admittedly quite old) Windows 10 laptop none of those buttons (VPN, Block ads, Downloads) work.
The VPN itself does work, but clicking on the blue VPN button does nothing, so I can't change the location; similarly clicking on the blue Block ads button does nothing at all; if I click on the Downloads button, it changes to dark grey, but nothing else happens.
I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling Opera, and clearing browsing data under Preferences, but no change.
Anybody have any ideas on how to get these buttons working again?

Update: Disabling Hardware Acceleration seems to have fixed it

As a test, you may try to copy the profile of your Desktop Pc to your old Laptop and test if works, even with HW Acceleration enabled.
