The Opera 31 update wiped out my custom search engines. I'm also unable to edit/remove "default_partner_content.json" file now; Opera shows an error about invalid file and refuses to open...

Is there a workaround/fix for this yet? I do not want the forced default search engines, and want to use the letters they steal for something useful. I specifically switch from Chrome to Opera to get away from this kind of ass-hatery; I really don't want to have to switch browsers again.

+1. I have the same problem. It's very frustrating for me. I switched to Opera for mouse gestures, custom search engines and the built-in IRC and mail client, and now all of that is falling apart. At the moment i'm using Opera 12.14 and Opera 31 along each other, with 12.14 for most of my browsing with very strict privacy settings and Opera 31 for everything else.
Please let us customize our search engines again. Don't take the stuff away that made Opera special to begin with T_T.

Got the same problem, would REALLY appreciate a fix for this.

Why is it so important to Opera that 'w' goes to the Wikipage of the same language as your locale setting? I have an English setting but would like 'w' to search the German Wiki... pretty annoying...
