You don't really have a lot of choice but to wait, but if you want a more interesting project to eliminate YT ads I saw a post on the forum of OpenWrt, it is an open source router firmware based on Linux, they were looking to eliminate in the router so they never get to your device.

There appear to be several different solutions relying on 3rd party sites for code and testing.

Doesn't do anything that ImageEye and Image Downloader don't do. The one key difference so far has been that when doing the thumbnails for the found images, most get squished and/or stretched oddly so the distorted images seems like what's going to be downloaded. The others did thumbnailing correctly.

muy buen complemento muy poderoso bloquea toda publicidad molesta, rastreadores, scripts peligrosos,etc (nada de g... adsense,tagmanager,g.doubleclick y otros ) si sabes como usarlo, entonces no es un problema. siempre guardo mi lista de block | allow solo la traslado a un navegador compatible Firefox, edge, opera lastima que se haya descontinuado. ¡Abajo con rastreadores y análisis!

so this extension used to work just fine - until today it just decided my password wasn’t good enough anymore;
i literally double-checked and even copy-pasted it from my saved notes, but nope. denied 🙂

but wait, it gets dumber:
tried to reset the password using the built-in recovery option (you know, the one where you enter your email?) yeah, it tells me the email is INVALID...
BRO, I HAVE ONE EMAIL. ONE. AND THAT WAS IT.

long story short: had to wipe Opera completely and reinstall it - and of course, lost pretty much all my unsaved stuff in the process 😕
