Recently, opera changed the news feed in your speed dial (in GX) to be really blocking annoying and ugly.

it sits directly below your saved websites, and is extremely cluttering.

The old one only showed the titles of the first three sitting quietly at the borrom of your screen. You could scroll down to see even more titles with pictures, and the little rectangles which they were in had their corners cut, making it look cooler and more GX-er.

I really hate this, and I hope Opera can add an option in settings to be able to taggle into the old version or simply delete the new one entirely.
