I also agree. It seems to be made for kids or gamers but some users are not ; there is already Opera GX for gamers.
In addition to the aesthetic aspect, it is less ergonomic. The animation when starting Opera is a waste of time and the sound is useless, a lot of space is lost in the sidebar and we have to make big movements depending on the targeted button. The animation when changing of workspace will give me a headache, and I cannot find the button to go to the speed dial anymore.
I hope that you will give us the choice for the gui appearance as proposed by nightmaresoul because I sincerely think, and I am sorry for that, that the new one is not an improvement.
