Huh?? How can it work on Chrome? I can log in on Opera, just not use the sync feature because the directions are outdated:

"If you're using Opera on a computer, click on the cloud icon in the lower left corner of the browser window, then select 'Enable synchronization' and log in with your Opera account."

There is no cloud icon in the lower left of the browser anymore. Or anywhere else for that matter. And definitely none on Chrome.

Opera 26 beta has an option to import Firefox bookmarks and data. The passwords didn't work for me, but all else did.

I'll tell ya, I would use Opera as my primary browser if sync was available. And I know quite a few who feel the same way. I hope it's available soon.
