Found it. The add-on was Notifycon.

There's this certain add-on that isn't specifically for Twitter that I forgot. It just shows a small number counter on the tab itself. White text and red background is all I remember from it.

I'm used to using this in other browsers and am now wondering if such add-on also exists in Opera. Thanks in advance! ^_^
