I am so sorry, I had tried briefly Opera in the past on several occasions and was enthusiastic. I looked further into features proposed etc., and decided to move to Opera since I wasn't satisfied by either Chrome or Firefox. Three weekd after moving in, there has been so many issues, so many simple fixes that don't exist, that I have taken the decision to leave Opera and strongly recommend against it to anybody. Synch don't work. My history regularly disappears. Settings are ultra limited. Advertisments everywhere... And stuff like the "x" button to close tabs, that people have been asking for the option to move it from the left side to the right side for decades, and nobody has provided this feature. This is utterly deceiving and there are just so many problems that I found discussed at length for years in this help forum, to reach the conclusion that there is no solution… but also that no Opera team is attentive at all to these complaints and to user satisfaction in any sense, it seems. Now, I'm trying to leave and I find (agaaain) that basic features in other browsers, like exporting the browsing history, just do not exist here. Again, simple fixes that have not been done, IMHO unacceptable when dozens of people ask for the same thing over many years.
This is a traume, TBH. Best of luck for those of you who stay here. Using Opera for three weeks has even convinced me to mentally place it alongside "Internet Explorer" as the browsers from hell. THis is the exact opposite of the view I had of Opera before. I lose so many hours, so many data, so many nerves in 3 weeks… Unforgivable.
Now that I am filling this, I realize there is also a bug on this very page. There are fields hidden at the bottom that I can not scroll down to access… W-O-W. It's be quicker to list Opera's features that work than listing those with bugs or problems.
Tried to submit this, and I got "error"… (what error, IDK, but I can't even post this (what will be the next surprise? Will opera explode when I uninstall it?))
