So if you delete the icon of opera gx and then open.. How are you start 'n GX ? Is it pinned to your your task bar..
if so try this..
make sure opera browser is closed.. (check task manager and make sure no opera process are run 'n)
un-pin the Opera icon you got from the tasbkar..
start Opera with the desktop shortcut that Opera keeps creating..
right-click on that taskbar button when Opera starts and choose to pin to task bar..
Then - delete the desktop icon..
