on the other thread regarding this feature which is now locked, an example was asked for why the option to disable the mute tab favicon should be available, so if i have web messenger open in another tab and i receive a notification, i immediately click over to that tab, the notification sound is very brief but the mute tab speaker favicon lingers for a bit after the sound ends, so i might unintentionally click the speaker to mute the tab without getting any feedback that i just muted it and shortly thereafter the favicon disappears, i have no idea i just muted that tab, i go back to the previous tab and now unknowingly i'm not getting to hear notifications from the messenger anymore, so the issue is really the extra attention you have to pay in order to not always be accidentally muting that tab, i can't just click on the tab without thinking about it, especially if i pin the tab with the messenger, then there's really no space where i can click the tab while the speaker favicon is present without muting it, so i have to wait the couple extra seconds for it to fade out before clicking over, which gets annoying having to do that, having to think about that every time, would be nice to either be able to disable the option or whitelist certain tabs, thanks.
