The black screen seems a different problem. Ist you have to resolve the black screen problem, try changing the wallpaper.
Do you have any extensions installed?
One of them might be inducing the problem so disable all extensions.

I've this issue also in Opera Beta,
It's intermittent not sure what make it work and stop work.
tried:
.cleanup up cookie
.browser history

nothing solved it permanently
