@skamansam Weird, i do no not use wayland at the moment. Some things to try:

• In adressbar type: opera://flags and search for hardware acceleration and disable it. Restart Opera and see the result.
• Try to start opera from the terminal to see if any errors pop up.

@cloutiersi I've the same issue. I use alt-F8 as a workaround. but that's not ideal. I'm using xfce as desktop environment.
