I just found a possible solution to this.

Try going to opera:flags in the address bar, search for the #address-bar-dropdown-categories flag and disable it. This prevents the unwanted list of categories (like the poor-guess suggestions, history and previous searches) from appearing in the address bar, making it look a bit less bloated without so many garbage urls.

Still can't find a way to solve the "switch to tab" bug, as the related flag is not even enabled for the users (it should be something about "dedicated row suggestions" or "dedicated row tab switch suggestions").

Is there any way to disable that annoying "switch to tab" button, or at least a way to either hide/disable the whole "suggestions" box so I don't get spammed with a bunch of needless urls?

This is only an example, in a normal day I get up to 3-4 "switch to tab" plus 5-6 more url rows being spammed whenever I start typing anything in the address bar:

Literally, the reason why I uninstalled my previous browser and switched to Opera GX was because the other browser had this exact same bug and nor the devs or community were open enough to at least address this issue or point towards any kind of solution.

Even a plugin to just hide this behavior would be awesome.

On the bright side, at least here ir Opera GX those spam urls and "swtich to tab" buttons are not as invasive as in other browsers like FF or Edge, but still it's rather annoying behavior and quite disappointing that I just cannot disable it.
