With many sites having a dedicated UX for mobile devices such as:
https://mobile.facebook.com/
https://mobile.twitter.com/
The reason behind this is many mobile pages are feature rich these days and for people who have lots of pages open it would be advantageous to use the mobile sites as they require a lot less system resources to run; Memory, CPU etc... For the majority of the time I'm using my laptop on battery, hence loving Opera right now, but using web pages designed for smart-phones this will go further to reduce system usage and thus increase battery life.
I would also like the ability to pin these, not as tabs but as windows. Not only that but I would like an option to allow the detection of "mobile." or "m." so Opera will automatically remove GUI elements window. Also to remember the size and position of the window:
So when launching a mobile web site Opera would remove:
- Side bar
- Address & navigation bar
- Tabs bar
Note: Right now when you show or hide the sidebar it effects all Opera open windows.
