@max004 For anyone experiencing this issue:
Opera GX is a very poorly coded browser that seems to have issues far too often.
Here’s the fix: go to Roaming\Opera Software\Opera GX Stable\default.old and copy all of those files into your main folder.

Click the Easy Setup button and click the "GX Classic" preset. That will simulate the old UI a little bit.
