@dermotmoconnor You're still on the version that has the error. You wrote 114.0.5735.199, but that's not the Opera version, it's the Chromium version that Opera 100.0.4815.54 had. And this version still had the error, the tab wipeouts are fixed only since 100.0.4815.76 - and the current version is an even newer 101.0.4843.25 (with Chromium version 115.0.5790.102) that also has no tab wipeouts.
It's quite pointless to comment here that your old version still has the issue, of course it has, it's only fixed in the newer versions.
@marqm I get the same behavior about the start page. Personally I believe that's intentional, because that start page occasionally shows new ads even when I disabled everything that can be disabled and keep on selecting "Don't show this again" for each of them. You wouldn't see these ads if it wasn't for the start page appearing from time to time.
@numbly That indeed sounds promising, could be the fix we were waiting for. Would be nice to have someone "official" here to confirm. Just installed that update, hoping that I don't have another incident of lost tabs from now on.
Lost all of my tabs in 2 work spaces 3 times within 3 weeks. 2 times directly after crashes, the 3rd time after a clean close of the browser and system shutdown, to find all my tabs gone again 2 hours later after the next boot.
Obviously I have the option enabled to restore open tabs, as I did have for years. Otherwise why would people complain about missing tabs. I don't know why I am even writing this, like, just use your brain before commenting.
Before the Opera One update I did have crashes (though by far not as frequent) but I have never lost my open tabs in years. Before even looking into the crashes (they can always happen anyway), fix the tab restore feature, then crashes are at least not that bad.
