Opera uses your system's password storage facility to store saved passwords, but your system still requires your login password to access this password storage. Unless you'd rather install an extension which stores your passwords "in the cloud", nothing to do about it. (You really want anyone with physical access to your computer to have your logins for your bank, your email and social media, etc.?)

Nothing can be done about it??? You're kidding......right? FYI, I don't bank online, I don't do social media and I don't put anything in Email that I don't want the NSA looking at!

Just installed Opera 45 on this Ubuntu Mate 14.04.4 desktop reload in this multiboot system. I've run the old version 12 Opera on every linux and Windowz box I've ever had but v12 is no longer available from the Ubuntu software manager so I installed v45 this am.

After my first boot up I tried to open Opera but get this "The login keyring did not get unlocked when you logged into your computer. Password ..../ cancel/ unlock" in a popup box and I've not been able to find a fix for this on Google searches I've done thus far. I can click "Cancel" and Opera opens and I can also put my login password in and it will open then also, BUT, I have Ubuntu set to NOT require a password after boot and I sure don't want Opera asking for one either!!

So here I am on the Opera forum asking if someone can tell me how to fix/stop this?
