the new mini music player that shows up in the toolbar next to your extensions is cool, but the main two ways i listen to music on my computer are through youtube tabs in my browser or external apps like vlc and microsoft music player, neither of which can be accessed through the mini player. youtube music would be a good alternative if it didn't have issues recognizing certain videos as songs (shown below)
turns out the option to disable the 6 built-in search engine shortcuts was recently added. that's great, but here are a few ways to improve it from a ui & ux standpoint
firstly, the toggle to enable or disable them should be next to where the search engines actually are so it's clear what the toggle affects
second, with the built-in search engines disabled, you should be allowed to use g, y, d, b, z, & w for custom site search shortcuts
third, you should be able to enable, disable, and change the shortcuts for the built-in search engines on a per-site basis like you can with custom site search. this one is probably the most work, but allows the most flexible customization
@Ooloolool they disabled built-in search engines by default in a recent update.
you can turn them back on in opera://settings/search

Now that tab islands are a thing in GX, I'd like to be able to add a keyboard shortcut for creating a tab island out of selected tabs
i just made a bug report regarding the search engines feature, so while it's still on my mind i figured i'd request this. there should be a way to edit or disable the preset search engines like you can with the custom ones
that hyperlink also doesn't work apparently but you can paste this into the url bar opera://settings/keyboardShortcuts
@bloor88 if you're used to different keyboard shortcuts than the defaults, you can change them in settings > shortcuts (at the very bottom under advanced) > configure shortcuts (or click this link)
as for why the forward mouse button doesn't work, i have no idea and am also annoyed by it
It'd be nice to have a way to save settings or adjust how long the pauses between sentences are, but this is still the best tts extension on opera i've seen yet
