You can goto example.com and bookmark the page to the bookmarks bar or the speed dial bookmarks folder so it's on your start page. Then, you can edit it to change its name to "Bookmarks" and its address to opera://bookmarks. Then, you'll have an icon on the bookmarks page or start page for it.
