The side bar can ruin many web pages appearance, leading to users like me to insta-disable it into irrelevance. It does have it's uses but i can never be bothered to go find it again(cause i'm going to just disable it again afterwards)

So add an option that the side bar appears on new tabs only. Perfect balance. Literally a eureka moment suggestion.
