I made a clean reinstall of Opera, and it worked ok at first. When I added uBlock Origin (extension), it went slow again. Unfortunately, deactivating the extension for linkedin.com didn't bring it back to speed. Tested the same in Firefox, also with uBlock Origin, and there was no issue at all.
A bit sad, as Opera has been very stable for many years in my experience. I hope, this will remain a singular issue with this domain only.
