hi! i'm really in love with the sidebar and the chance to show and hide it with just a hover. Despite this i have to admit that many sites that i use super frequently have their own tool bar that is, in most of the cases, on the left side (Eg. Teams, Miro, Milanote). what happens, with the #sidebar-autohide flag enabled is that when i try to access those toolbars, the opera sidebar shows up over them, not allowing to use the tools.
What i'm asking for is a short delay before showing up the sidebar (1.5/2 seconds should be enough), reducing accidental bar show-ups

one year later, this is probably the only issue i have with opera. i don't understand if it's just about my usage, but to me looks like a really big problem that could be solved super easily. i honestly have also considered switching to vivaldi for this reason (there you can set a vertical slim bar that toggles the side panel on and off), but really like all the rest about opera, especially after opera one.

please, fix this one

It would be nice to be able to arrange manually sidebar elements, and maybe manually group them. for example i enabled the custom website panel flag to be able to use gmail in the panel, but it is placed in the bottom of the bar, near the settings, while i'd like to have it near the whatsapp tab

It would be nice to be able to pin already opened tabs to the pinboard; in such way one could use the pinboard also as the "tabs aside" feaured in the pre-chromium microsoft edge, or like a "save for later", similar to the famouse Pocket app/website

@gotyourdetailz aren't the workspaces not in use already frozen? btw the security lock is a nice idea

Certain websites detect adblock and don't allow the user to continue the browsing. It would be really useful to have the chance to disable the adblocking, maybe by having a toggle inside the window that opens by clicking the lock on the left on the address bar (the same window that shows cookies etc.)

@leocg in microsoft edge there is a functionality that shows a miniature of the viewport by hovering the tab, which is right under the tab and as wide as the tab. for example in a 15" display previewed tabs are shown around the size of 3x2cm
