This also appears to be breaking the USB controller input for Steam in general. Just tried to play 20 minutes to midnight and use my Xbox One controller connected via USB, but the controller wouldn't respond. Checked Steam and it showed no controller was connected. Unplugged and replugged in the controller and the controller flashed and never connected. Killed Opera GX and suddenly the controller connected and worked.

Opera GX causing Elden Ring to stall at bootOpera GX
It's taken a while for me to figure it out, but Opera GX is causing my install of Elden Ring to stall at boot. Here's what I've figured out:
- if Opera GX is open, booting Elden Ring goes from a matter of about 30 seconds or so to about 3-4 minutes. Usually it also breaks my Xbox One controller (via USB) so it doesn't work when this happens, and if I disconnect and reconnect the USB cable and try to turn it on it doesn't connect
- It does not cause this right away, meaning if I start the computer, open Opera GX, and then launch Elden Ring it doesn't cause the game to boot slow and launches normally. I'm not sure how long it has to be open before it cause the game boot stall
- I do not have any limiters turned on in Opera GX
- If I launch Elden Ring and it stalls at boot, then kill Opera GX, it immediately finishes booting and the controller works.
- I usually have 10 plus tabs open when this is happening
