@frenesi4 That's why I use opera 99. It is very disturbing to have absurd white lines on the side while watching videos on Youtube. I think it's time to switch to another browser.

@berg12 Open the run and type this, c:\Windows\System32\Drivers\etc\ take the Hosts file to the desktop, open it with notepad, add it to the bottom and save it. 127.0.0.1 autoupdate.geo.opera.com Then import the file back into the etc folder.
This allows you to at least stay on the opera 99 version, but when you open the opera for the first time, a notification appears to get a security update. Close and reopen Opera and the notification will go away.
