Did you set the GPU usage to an extreme low? I tested it out and it could be the issue

I believe there is no way of hiding news, I suggest just change it to show Gaming news only

I had a bad reputation with Bitdefender, They blocked a lot of stuff including websites that I didn't even ask to be banned if I was you, It's best to get a different antivirus
