Apparently it's not restricted to just reloading the page. I just had the page zoom in when I activated search with Ctrl-F, and I think I also briefly saw a zoom-in when closing a tab.

Random actions when reloading a pageOpera for Linux
Opera 28 on Debian unstable. When I press Ctrl-R to reload a page, often something else happens as well. So far I've observed: zoom in one step, open the find bar, and go one tab to the left. The issue occurs rather randomly, and usually won't reproduce when reloading the same tab over and over.

Long gifs load very slowlyOpera for Linux
Opera 28.0 on Debian unstable. Gifs start loading fine, but after a few second there's a noticeable slowdown which gets worse over time. The slowdown is not limited to the gif itself, but affects everything on the tab. This seems suspiciously like some linear-time operation happening every time a small bit of data is received from the network, perhaps as small as one byte. But no sane programmer would actually do something like that, right?

My wishlistOpera for Linux
I finally switched to the new Opera as copypaste with 12.16 on Linux started breaking more and more frequently. I knew that it doesn't have all of the cool features of the old one, but the number of missing features is getting depressing. They're all fairly minor, but with most browsers these days being clones of each other anyway, it's the minor features that really differentiate them.
Bookmarks sidebar. It was very useful for going through my list of webcomics.
Tab stacking. I used it a lot when I wanted to leave a group of tabs for later so they would only take a single tab's worth of space.
Pasting a link by middle-clicking anywhere on speed dial. Much faster than having to aim for the address field.
Customizable shortcuts. I'd like to switch tabs with ctrl+pageup/pagedown, thanks. The advanced shortcuts setting puts it on 1 and 2, which stop working as soon as there's a focused text field on a tab.
The tab list popup with ctrl+tab. With a lot of tabs open, it was useful to see the full titles of all of them.
Tab switching with rmb+wheel. Since a mouse is pretty much required to browse the web anyway, it's nice to be able to quickly switch tabs without moving my hand to the keyboard.
Fully customizable search engines. Apparently the default ones are sacred and I'm not allowed to touch them. I'd like to have w search the English wikipedia instead of the one for my local language.
Built-in content blocking. I guess I can install AdBlock Plus to work around this.
Oh, and what's with this forum and not being able to use the wheel to scroll up and down in the text area while writing a message?
