Perhaps you may have come across this issue yourself? You have downloaded many files, but the files have vague names and you want to find some way of knowing how to organise them into folders. Well one of the best things to do that is by having:
- A timestamp of Downloads
- A direct URL linker to where the download came from
- A redirect URL of where the site was that you had initially looked at for the file to download
Many times files are not on the website you are viewing from directly and are either in an FTP or other storage service. It would be useful to know where the locations of these were.
You could be thinking "Well you can easily look into your History and find the URLs there". That's true, but when you have gone through hundreds of sites a day. It can be extremely difficult to find what you are looking for, even with the search function filtering out many unrelated items.
