Just went and cleared my appdata folder, the one in roaming to be specific, and as it turns out, something about my previous folder prevented me from connecting with my phone as I can now finally connect to it! If anyone else reading this thread is having the same issue and nothing else is working, try clearing out your appdata-roaming folder. 😉
