Re: Add support chrome_url_overrides today its 2025, which is 5 years after this original post was made and there is still no support for it. This while all other major browsers do support it. Yet somehow there is still no way to override the new tab page in Opera (GX).

I hope the devs implement this. But meanwhile can someone help me find another solution for this? I want to set a local webpage (file:://path/index.html) as the new tab page.

I think opera did fix the problem, because I can download file using Opera GX.
If the problem still occurs try to repair it using the installer.
