I tried Opera GX on PC. For first time in ages I try a new browser since the update was praised in some norwegian tech magazine (Not surprised since it is norwegian).

However..

What I find is that Nvidia improving quality of video by superresolution is not working, so videos look bad again for me compared to chrome and Edge. This aplies to any video, but I use youtube mostly. Also Youtube is very slow in loading the videos to full resolution, lik there is some bandwith limiter activated somehow.

ALSO the colors of everything on every site, pictures, videos or just anything is like washed out or slightly bleached. My monitor is a calibrated Oddessey G8 and I do not have this problem with any other browser or program.

Overall the browser feels fresh and intuitive and have all the functions that I long for in other browsers.
BUT the visual is very important for the experience, so for now it is a deal killer for me.

I need to feel comfortable with what I Look at, and feel the quality of pictures and video should be at par with the competition. It is 2023 when I write this, and even my phone deliver a good experience for watching pictures and video. If this can be resolved I am happy to make it my default browser.

If it is something you intend to have this way, then I am sorry it will not stick with me, I am not fond of this very apple ish appearance. I paid a LOT of money for having my colours stand out and be correct and able to calibrate with screen and graphics card. This however seem to be thatthe browser just run its own set of profiles and does not take advantage of gpu at all.
