Is there a way to download and save a PDF on an iPad ?

I currently have to paste the link in Safari to get access to the save menu which seems missing from Opera

I use an iPad and chose Opera for the superb convenient speed dial.
I went through the trouble of cluttering up my start screen with shortcuts because it works so well for me.
Now with v5 I have to swipe 12 icons at a time while the start page is almost empty and what used to work so well has become a pain.
Is there be a way to downgrade to the old version back ?
Or better yet provide an option for the user to decide what works best for her/him
