RE: How to backup/restore work areas?Opera for Windows
@burnout426 Is anyone aware of the reason why the shitty synchronization
engine is missing workspaces, extensions, keyboard shortcuts, search engines and so on? -
RE: Syncing workspaces tabsOpera for Windows
@pixelpaule To date, it is the same. It does not synchronize workspaces tabs, extensions, shortcuts, search engines, tabs of other devices (hidden), and so on.
Opera is one of the best Chromium out there, but its sync engine is a real garbage and the main reason I’m going back to Brave. -
RE: High cpu usage watching youtubeOpera for Windows
@l1l-st4bb13s Do the other Chromium browsers (e.g., Edge) also reflect Software Acceleration? In that case, I suspect that you have the problem on Windows or the wrong BIOS configuration,
Set your BIOS by default and then do a full system update (Windows Update) or consider a reinstallation of the Operating System, because I don't think that the browser is your problem. Browsers reflect the system’s default acceleration, and this is enabled by default on Windows. - Opera for Windows

RE: High cpu usage watching youtubeOpera for Windows
@l1l-st4bb13s Description:
Play VP9 videos in any video app on your Windows 10 device. VP9 is a popular video codec for streaming over the internet. These VP9 Video Extensions are designed to take advantage of hardware capabilities on newer devices. For devices that don’t have hardware support for VP9 videos, software support is provided, but the playback experience might vary based on the video resolution and device performance. These extensions also let you encode VP8 and VP9 content on devices that don’t have a hardware-based video encoder.

RE: High cpu usage watching youtubeOpera for Windows
Try to install VP9 Extension, which allows the GPU to take the most workload, releasing CPU (especially in 4K contents).

@burtz The null customization of Opera is what makes me reject it every time I try it, not to mention the lack of synchronization of extensions ...
