@burnout426 Hello! Apologies for such a late response, I appreciate your advice! I tried a standalone install today and that worked great! OperaGX was actually working for me for a little bit last week but I just did an update for windows 10 and now it doesn't work again. I tried starting Opera GX in safe mode with the command you provided and that did not seem to work. I will create a local account and see if that fixes the problem. Thanks for your tips!

@burnout426 Welp! I opened Opera GX on a local windows account, it worked, then I signed out and logged back into my account and now it works again...? Odd! But thanks... I guess? Haha! I appreciate your time and your response!

@leocg I’ve only been able to find one topic on a similar issue I’m having and it was from 3 years ago that had no resolution and was locked… and it wasn’t my exact issue, whenever I search “opergx crashing” my post is the only one talking about constant crashing on startup. Are there any solutions to the problem? I saw some steps to take on one of your admiration strings I’ll have to double check when I get home if I’ve followed all of them but I’m I did some if not most of them. Thank you.

Before posting, some required steps
First of all you should check if the problem is not being caused by an extension or a broken profile (Can't do either of these because OperaGX won't open, so instead I did a completely clean install). Do the following required steps, re-starting Opera after each one of them and checking if the problem remains after each one.
Disable all extensions (can't do it)
Disable the ad-blocker (can't do it)
Disable all limiters (can't do it)
Reset settings to default (done)
Reset flags to default (what is this? I'd assume I've done that since I did a complete clean install..)
Create a clean profile folder/directory (I have not done this unless it is automatic whenI uninstall and delete my profile then reinstall)
If the problem is with a web page, check if it works with other browsers, specially Chromium based ones (not with a webpage)
Check if your drivers (Graphics Card, Sound, etc) are up to date (Done)
Check if your OS is up to date (done)

I'm not sure why this post was marked as "Duplicated" is there anyone able to assist me?

[Duplicated]Opera GX Crashing On LaunchOpera GX
Good Day! I am having an issue with see title on top of that, if I do get it to launch it gives me this error: https://gyazo.com/4902bb123817ed3f0abf2d7bf9327404
And that happens even when on the settings page.
What I've tried:
-
Uninstalling and deleting personal data (or whatever the checkbox is when you uninstall) then reinstalling from the website to download the setup file.
-
Leaving Opera GX open for about an hour with just this crash page up to see if it needed an auto update or something.
-
Scanned for malware with Malwarebytes, quarantined a file and deleted it. Then uninstalled and reinstalled.
-
Tried a previous version download of Opera GX from the official previous version site, a version from back in April.
Hopefully someone can provide some advice for what I should do at this point. Thanks!
