@demonicminecraft i just had a thought so i went to check if any mods could be the reason. after a little tinkering, i realised that after disabling the "web modding" option, it fixed the squares problem! really strange tho cuz it wasnt like this when i first installed them i dont know if you've already found a solution or even use browser mods but that's how i fixed mine (:
