@ceedee If I was strictly using Opera on a desktop or laptop with a mouse I would agree but why should tablet users have to use a mouse or attach a keyboard to use a function that used to be performed with the touch of a finger. This is nonsensical change that detracts from Opera's overall useability.

RE: Missing X buttons on Tabs/RidersOpera for Windows
@myswtest
The OP's comment and the subsequent comments pertained to use of the current version on tablets specifically MS Surface Pro. Not computer where the primary input device is a mouse or pen.As a MS Surface Pro and Opera user the deletion of the close via touch function is a nonsensical change which diminishes the useability of Opera on tablets and other touch devices. But seeing how there has been zero response from the development team nor any change that I can see in 102 beta or 103 developer versions, I guess they don't care about Windows tablets users.

RE: Missing X buttons on Tabs/RidersOpera for Windows
Some good news for touch users. Opera 103 Beta has added the X back to the tab island. So 103 Stable should resolve this issue.

RE: [Compilation]Discussions On How To Disable Splash Screen When Opening Opera OneGeneral
Thanks for the tip. Works like a charm. Just another useless "feature" added while useful features like restoring the ability to close individual tabs goes unfulfilled (MS Surface Pro Tablet User). I have been an Opera user for I guess 6 or more years and each version since 99 has been worse than the previous version.

[Duplicated]Closing Individual Tabs for Tablet UsersOpera for Windows
I've been an Opera user for a number of years and have it installed on my Windows desktops and tablets. My biggest complaint with the 100 version is the lack of a close individual Tab function for tablet or touch users. I get it that one can hover over the tab with a mouse but when I using a tablet I don't want to use a mouse or attach a keyboard. This function was available on all my previous versions up until 100. Please restore this capability,
