There was a problem with Opera not being able to use non-free codecs, or something similar. Currently, Opera cannot play half of the YouTube videos on OpenSUSE Leap 15.4, even though many updates have been released in the past six months. This problem was not present in Tumbleweed, except in rare cases where updates caused issues.

RE: Opera can't play videos in OpenSUSE Leap (again)Opera for Linux
@burnout426 Can I use this lib from my Brave dir? Hm, can't find it there.
P.S. I replaced it into /usr/lib64/opera/lib_extra/ and it looks working

RE: DIsable browser cache for videosOpera for Linux
@leocg said in DIsable browser cache for videos:
opera://about
Yes, it writes: .cache/opera
But what about video/media cache only? -
RE: DIsable browser cache for videosOpera for Linux
@leocg said in DIsable browser cache for videos:
There is no setting for it.
Where this cache is stored? There is a proposal to mount a tmpfs on /etc/fstab for that location.
~/.cache/opera/Cache/ - if it's there, can I separate the video cache only? -
DIsable browser cache for videosOpera for Linux
Hi, I have 32 GB of RAM and suppose, YouTube videos use a lot of GBS and maybe it’s better to disable the cache and use only RAM to save SSD TBW resource. How to optimize it? I got a tip to use HW acceleration but “Use hardware acceleration when available” is already true. How to disable the SSD usage for caching videos?

@leocg yeah, steps to reproduce:
enter aliexpress.com in URL tab
Opera plugin Dify Cashback tries to act without a prompt (can't disable it in settings, only logout)
aliexpress.com permanently redirects to best.aliexpressBrowser got an error:
This page isn’t working best.aliexpress.ru redirected you too many times. ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS
Needed result:
aliexpress.com loads correctly -
RE: Aliexpress goes to permanent redirect because of Dify CashbackOpera for Linux
@leocg don't understand what should I found there. Dify Cashback is the Opera default plugin and I disabled adblocks there. But yes, I should add the necessary system info:
Version:83.0.4254.19
Opera is up to date
Update stream:Stable
System:openSUSE Tumbleweed (x86_64; KDE)
