Why remove something that has been a way of life for most of us for 20 + years ? I do not understand

It is a shame opera is not fit for purpose anymore without a home button at the top.
Also they have stopped blocking adds and are now in league with google !
There are plenty of other browsers now that block ads using ublock but none of them seem to
have a nice user interface and none of them do tabs as well as opera.
I've had to go back to firefox with ublock but tabs are rubbish in comparison.
There are a few browsers now not offering the home button by default on the argument
it is easy to click on new tab, but that method requires you to close your existing tab
ie an extra click ???

Yeah I did mean setting the start page for a new tab

like it can in other browsers.

It allows for more accurate results as you then have the option to
just search your country.

Maybe if there was a vote for it as a feature ?

It's on my 4k screen it's disappeared

I'm on 4815-76 and getting ads have been for a week tbh no matter which version i have been on and then updated to no avail. Have also been hoping when updating that the starthomepage button will come back to the address bar as it is such a way of life for me and no doubt 90% of the population, having to go to the bottom left corner is so alien to me.

Can I set google.co.uk as homepage instead of google.com

If so would be really grateful if someone could explain how, as I cannot see a way of doing it.

ie for me in the uk google.co.uk
this is a feature I miss from firefox
which used to let you input a webpage
so that all new tabs would go to that page
