Sorry for up but I agree with you, the sidebar api necessary need something to resize the sidebar from content script.

It doesn't sync with other pc, depend of what you have to do to choice the solutions

I don't know the limit of byte you can store but it work perfectly. You can easly save and object with a value, close and reopen the browser and the values is still here.

What do you mean? chrome.storage.sync is supported and it save permanent data like on chrome. I used it on my extension with no problem

Hello, I'm writing code of a sidebar extension and I want to use chrome.sync to save some data. It work very good on normal extension but working on the sidebar it seem that is not supported...
I get this error: "Cannot read property 'sync' of undefined"

So, the sidebar support chrome.sync? If not what can I use to save permanent data, cookie?

I'm creating an extension with the new SideBar API but when I go to upload on Opera site I receive this error: "manifest.json is invalid. Please correct it and try uploading again. The parser reported: {'19': 'icons/19.png', '38': 'icons/38.png'} does not match type 'string'".

I'm doing an extension, now I'm working on the settings page. My settings page work perfectly in local but when I try it on the extensions doesn't work. The problem is related to buttons, they doesn't go to the functions while on local they works.
