In version 22 on OSX 10.9, import bookmarks does not work, even for already existing Opera 12 bookmarks.

I wonder if there is even any other browser that does not import or export bookmarks LOL.

I directly upgraded from Opera 12 to Opera 22 - the bookmarks importer does not work even for Opera 12 bookmarks - the menu option is grayed out. Fortunately, I was able to upgrade to Opera 12, and my Opera bookmarks were still there undisturbed.

Never mind responding. I just realized the new Opera has no native bookmark manager, and Opera Link is not integrated.

This new Opera does not met my needs, I have uninstalled it.

This is unfortunate, the old Opera is really quite good.

I have recently tried to upgrade from my old Opera 12.17 to the latest Opera 21. I was suspicious that it would not go smoothly, so I installed both.
In my Opera 12, I have a big carefully looked after collection of bookmarks which show in the sidebar - only a few key ones show in the bookmark bar.
In the new Opera 21, I can only find the bookmarks that were in the bookmark bar, I cannot find the bigger collection of bookmarks that were shown in the sidebar.

Has anyone yet solved this problem?
