People! Downgrade to Opera 69, close opera immediately after launch (you have to be fast!), find opera_autoupdate.exe and rename it, launch opera, type opera://flags/#search-in-open-tabs, disable it. That's it, you have the function back, fully with cross platform browsing.

@nicolleen https://get.opera.com/pub/opera/desktop/ When installing cut of your internet or be fast to close Opera after installing it because it will update to current version, then find the folder of installed version and in there will be exe file opera.autoupdate.exe or something, rename it (I added disabled) and you good to go

Well, it's obvious, they want us to use the (f-ing) sidebar. The more we use it the more money in their pocket... Vivaldi isn't a bad idea... Get the memo, first time we could get the button back, now the flag is disappeared.

@duulket We dont need you to understand anything, We need Opera to bring back the function that was useful and was connecting Opera on different platforms.
