In 2018, Opera started to force CSD on us. Many usery might not be aware of that or don't care or even like it, but for some users, this actually breaks things. I am one of those users. The issue was debated at that time but as to my knowledge, it wasn't reverted (or made configurable). Since that time. I am stuck with using Opera 54, because I really need server-side decoration. Question: Has this issue been fixed in the mean time, does current Opera version allow me to switch off CSD? Or do I have to turn my backs on Opera all together now?

RE: Opera 54.0.2952.41: Streaming videos don't work anymoreOpera for Linux
Works for Gentoo, but should be rather easy to extend to other Distros (i.e. add other pathes to search for that file) and maybe even other versions of opera (i.e. add other md5sums of old libffmpeg.so files).
This script backs up the old libffmpeg.so file, but there is no automatic way to revert it, so if something goes wrong, you have to clean up yourself. The script tries to do things only if it's sure, it's save to do so.

RE: Opera and CSD (cliend side decoration)Opera for Linux
Thx, for the update. I feared this. Oh, and of course, I know that hack. my problem is not how to add my WM's decoration but how to get rid of Opera's one. But I guess, I have to face it. Opera was a great browser in the old days, but now it's the same shit as all the other ones.
