Not a bad idea... we couldn't do it if the page has a touch handler and call preventDefault though.

RE: Trash FolderOpera for Android
I take it you're talking about how to get rid of speed dials? If you long press a speed dial there should be a remove and a edit option at the top of the page. Of course there are special entries that you cannot delete, like the bookmarks and saved pages.

RE: Opera is "calling home" when history deletedOpera for Android
I wouldn't default to call network traffic a security issue. To be honest I haven't checked what exactly the network request is in this case, but there are a number of valid network requests that are done occasionally, like fraud protection (data so we can warn when a malicious site is accessed), browser.js which is javascript that can be injected on certain sites to correct errors or quickly fix problems, synchronization requests (if it's turned on) etc.

RE: Opera mobile reloading tabs after switching tabs and appsOpera for Android
If it's reloading when you switch back to a tab (without explicitly having closed the browser) what you're seeing is low memory pressure and Android automatically killing off processes. It does sound a bit strange that you wouldn't be able to keep a couple of tabs and a few apps active on a S6 though... sounds like there is some app or service using up a lot of memory. I'd suggest checking memory usage and try to identify the culprit.

Opera 30 featuring synced Speed DialsOpera for Android
We are happy to announce that we have just released Opera 30.
We’re continuing to add features to our sync service, and, this time, we’ve added a way to sync Speed Dials across your devices. You can read more about this on our blog.
We hope this release will be the most stable version of Opera for Android to date, as we have spent extra effort chasing down stability issues. This release contains:
- Speed Dial synchronization
- New context menus
- Native Android text-selection menu
- Updated video controls
- A Chromium upgrade to version 43
- Various stability and usability improvements
The update has been pushed to Google Play and should be available very soon. Please download Opera 30 for Android from Google Play and tell us what you think.
As of this release, Chromium will no longer support Android ICS (4.0.x), but users with an older device can still download Opera 29.

RE: Opera 30 beta allows you to sync your Speed DialsOpera for Android
@kazancevlesha we currently sync speed dials, bookmarks and tabs. Extensions does not sync because there is no extension support on Android. We will continue to extend our sync support in the coming versions.

RE: How to set default search engine in Opera for AndroidOpera for Android
The reason is not that we want to prevent anyone from switching away from using google (or any of the other defaults we have in certain markets) as the default search and I agree... it's not hard to implement at all... in fact it's pretty easy. Well...if you can figure out an intuitive way of doing the UX on a mobile device. The reason it's never landed in Opera for Android is simply because there has been other things popping up that has been considered more important. If you look at statistics alone there's a really small portion of people that ever search with anything but the default search engine. With limited resources as you always have we've simply focused on fixing issues that affect a larger part of our user base.
All that said... our roadmap...that I really shouldn't talk about in public... does have something called "search engine improvements" on it so it's looking bright for all the duckduckgo-ers, bingers, yahooers, baiduers and askers!

RE: strange behaviour when deleting text: opera replaces new text with deleted...Opera for Android
Thanks @riemie2, @nothing-to-lose, @rafaelluik and other reporters. We've been able to reproduce this on some devices internally so the guys will get to that bug soon enough. As usual all these reports without curses and occurrences of the words "stupid", "lazy" and "morons" are greatly appreciated
We'd never be able to catch and fix all these device specific bugs without your help and hints on how to reproduce!
